Please join us for our fifth annual evening poster reception and party. Mingle and talk with poster Presenters, eat some delicious foods, or ‘grinds’ as we say in Hawai‘i, and toast the party with complimentary alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks. Sit back, and relax to the tunes from our evening performer, Mihana Aluli Souza. This is the time to learn hula!
Mihana Aluli Souza - Musician/Band
Mihana Souza grew up in the great old tradition of Hawai’ian music-making. Mihana was born into a family of gifted musicians. Her mother, Aunty Irmgard Farden Aluli, was a Hawaiian treasure who composed hundreds of songs, and recorded and performed with her family quartet: Puamana. She composes Hawaiian music as well jazz and rock. As a solo jazz singer-songwriter, Mihana has recorded several popular albums filled with original songs inspired by island living. The embodiment of pure aloha, sharing stories with Mihana always brings about laughter, song, and a deep reverence for home.
