Aging and Disability Topic Area: An Aging World

Advancing inclusion, equality and diversity for older persons should be a top priority in the 21st century. In Aging and Disability Topic Area: An Aging World, two streams of thought are addressed: issues which pertain to older persons, disability, and society and; the healthy management of chronic mental health and physical conditions which promote self-fulfillment, dignity, independence, care and participation for older adults as well as address barriers to living a fulfilling and healthy elder life. Hosted presentations include: Social Service Providers; Perspectives on Casino Gambling in Older Adult Clients; Finding Your Energy (& Learning How to Use It!); and The Rise of Neo-Liberal Rhetoric and the Intersection of Modern Day Medicaid Priority: A Study of Young Residents in Nursing Homes.
