Info for Presenters
Accessibility Guidelines for Presenters
In order to ensure that the Pacific Rim Conference is fully accessible to all participants, we require that presenters send a copy of their presentations to us in advance. This allows us to accommodate those attendees who have requested alternate formats of materials. We will provide this service for a fee; however, if we do not receive your materials by TBA you will be responsible for providing a minimum of 2 each of Braille, 2 CDs, and 2 Large Print copies of your materials.
We ask that presenters consider a wide variety of learning styles when conducting their presentations. For our visually impaired attendees please be sure to fully explain what you are reviewing on the screen if you have not provided Braille or Large Print copies of your materials or if you deviate from any handouts that you have provided. Please observe the guidelines below while preparing your presentation. Your observation of these guidelines will impact the review of future proposals to the Pac Rim conference.
Summary of materials to bring:
- CD ROM copies of all handouts and power points/overheads
- 40-50 regular print copies (minimum) of all power points/overheads
- Vocabulary list
- Transcript of audio/audio-visual material (if used in presentation)
- Open-Captioned video (required), audio-described (suggested) (if used in presentation)
