Overcome the emotional difficulties associated with learning disabilities, Attention Deficit Disorder (ADD) and Hyperactivity (ADHD) with LifeLine.

Join Dr. Shannon Simonelli in this therapeutic movement presentation and experiential workshop. She will discuss the resource rich map of the 5Rhythms® movement practice as they apply to therapeutic work with a focus on overcoming the emotional difficulties associated with learning disabilities, Attention Deficit Disorder (ADD) and Hyperactivity (ADHD). Shannon will share her personal story with learning disability and ADHD and the lifeline that movement offered her. Plan to shake your groove thang, no prior dance experience necessary, only a willingness to move to the best of your ability. 5Rhythms Movement Therapy® is an open and clear format of movement meditation using music from around the world utilized to address therapeutic issues with people ready to try something new as they open to change and healing.

Dr. Simonelli draws from over 25 years of professional experience as an educator, facilitator, trainer, personal coach, and therapist. She is a registered Art Therapist, certified 5Rhythms Movement Therapist®, and draws on body based awareness, the imagination, mythology, intuition, archetypal patterns, expanded states of consciousness, indigenous wisdom, nature, and spiritual traditions in her work. She is faculty at the Center on Disability Studies, and works with addicts in recovery at a treatment facility in Hawaii.

In addition to working with addiction recovery, Shannon specializes in the emotional educational difficulties of learning disabilities including dyslexia, ADD and ADHD the psychological abuse of children, teens and adults in learning environments. She understands how living with ADD, ADHD and learning disabilities can negatively affect self-perception and self-esteem, how learning disabilities impact families, can lead to dead end jobs and color an entire life. Dr. Simonelli helps students and adults understand learning disabilities, ADD and ADHD. She a gifted life coach for people in transition and facilitates them in developing a deep understanding of self. Shannon shows people how to not only cope with learning disabilities, ADD and ADHD, but to enjoy life and find success with the interests and talents they have.
