With this in mind, the Pacific Rim Cinema, a disability film festival, part of the 25th Annual Pacific Rim Conference on Disabilities, May 4-5, 2009 in Honolulu, Hawai‘i will screen documentaries and features from around the globe. These films will empower, entertain, enlighten and educate viewers and offer different perspectives, challenge stereotypes, and celebrate the contributions of people with disabilities in popular culture.
Screening times are May 4th, Monday, 7-10 p.m. and Tuesday, May 5th, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. in the Lili‘u Theater at the Hawaii State Convention Center. The film festival is free to conference participants.
