Tanis Doe is a sociologist and disability rights activist who fell in love with dance after competing in Amsterdam and discovering the possibilities of movement for people with disabilities. Michele Andersen is a Somatic Movement Therapist who has taught and performed mixed abilities dance for four years. She and Tanis performed in a professional group for the KickstArt convention in Vancouver 2002. They have performed in Winnipeg, in Victoria and Vancouver. Tanis and Michele will demonstrate/perform a number of different dance styles including Latin, Ballroom and Modern (waltz, tango, jive, chacha, rhumba). There will be a range of speeds and leadership with both Tanis and Michele taking turns.
